Easy Cinnamon Rolls

This recipe is really easy and very, very good.  I found this recipe on Food.com, but have changed a few things.

1/4 cup water
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
1 box instant vanilla pudding, small box
4 cups flour
4 teaspoons wheat gluten
1 tablespoon yeast

Filling

1/4 cup butter or margarine room temp
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Icing

4 oz cream cheese, room temp low fat works but do not use fat free
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon milk
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar

Or cheat and use one half can of prepared cream cheese frosting, no one will know if you do not tell them

Put in bread maker in order given
Select dough cycle
When cycle is don put  dough on lightly floured surface, roll into a rectangle 1/4 inch thick. I combine the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and make a paste and spread it on the dough, or you can spread butter and sprinkle with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Roll tight and cut into 12 rolls, place in a greased 9 by 13 pan cut side down, I cut mine with a piece of dental floss it works great, clean cuts.  Let rise for about 15 or 20 minutes and then bake in a 350 degree oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.  Take out of oven and cool for 10 minutes then ice.  I ice them in the pan, just easier.

I have made these for friends and they rave about them.  I hope you enjoy them too.  You can find this recipe on Food .com without my few changes.

Please spread the cream cheese or the word... Thanks

Not a Bread Recipe But a Smoothie Recipe - Pineapple and Ginger

I just wanted to say a big thank you over to Our Krazzy Kitchen for the great CSN giveaway I won.  So I wanted to post a picture of the Hamilton Beach Personal Blender I picked out with my prize.  Also share the first smoothie recipe I made in it.

Pineapple and Ginger Smoothie

Blend 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple cut into I inch chunks, ( I used a can of pineapple chunks from the cabinet),  1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and minced, 1/2 cup low fat plain yogurt ( I used homemade because I also make my own yogurt), 1 cup pineapple juice ( just the right amount from can) , 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of ice if using  fresh pineapple. Put all in blender and go for it.  I have to be honest I froze my pineapple the night before and it worked just great.  This recipe serves 2.  I got this  recipe from a friend at work.  It was sure  good and refreshing.

Coming this week is the recipe for the Cinnamon Rolls I made for a couple of friends, they are to die for !!!!

Thanks and take care ,

Cherry Bread For Presidents Day

I thought I would share a recipe that I found that is great for Presidents Day or aka Washington's Birthday.  It is a favorite of mine and since my birthday usually falls on or around this date I felt it would be worth sharing.  I found this recipe on Food.com and have changed a few things.

I do not add the nuts, because I don't care for nuts and I use the whole jar of cherries chopped to the batter. I usually let this bread sit overnight since it is better the next day.  I really hope everyone will try it and celebrate our First Presidents Birthday.

I will post a picture after the loaf comes out of the oven.  Thanks for reading.
