Honey Wheat Oatmeal Cinnamon Swirl Bread

So here it is, my version of Cinnamon Swirl Bread.  I used a recipe I found of Food.com Honey Wheat Oatmeal Bread for the bread part

After reading through several other blogs and the suggestions about how much cinnamon and sugar to use.  I decided on these proportions:

2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
dash of nutmeg

Normally you would slather the dough with butter but I read a great hint and used a beaten egg. I cooked the leftover egg for breakfast so no waste here !

I used the dough cycle on the bread machine to make the dough.  Mixed up my cinnamon and sugar and put it in a shaker jar.  You will have some left over, I figured I could use it on toast or pancakes and such.

As you can see I rolled my dough out and brushed it with the beaten egg and sprinkled it with lots of cinnamon sugar.

Roll up from the short end and seal all your seam. and place in loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

I brush my with melted butter to get a nice soft crust.

This bread is soft chewy and just enough of a hint of cinnamon to not make you feel guilty eating a slice.  Full of whole wheat and oats it will give you the I'm Full feeling.

I think I am going to make just a loaf of this bread for sandwiches, it was that great.

Thanks for stopping by!!
